Carlo, born in 1971, collaborator of the world-famous Italian Designer Michele De Lucchi, founded the design studio De Mattia Architetti in 2003, when he joined his father Giancarlo De Mattia, who was already active as independent architect since 1970.

Father and son started working together on architecture, interior design projects, product design and art concepts and consultation.

His studio, associated partner of RhineScheme since 2015, operates throughout Italy and in China, works in various realms of design, engages in medium-scaled projects, and works for private clients, enterprises and institutions.

Beside being an ingenious designer, Carlo is a highly professional creator of corporate identity concepts, of exhibition designs, of cultural heritage interventions.

Carlo worked and works as lecturer and university teacher, in Milan, Ascoli Piceno, and Ancona.
